Syndicate Assembly Room 10

On Monday at syndicate assembly Room 10 presented their work. Afterwards we all sang a song called 'We are the Champions'. Mrs Buchanan told the students that we had to sing this song because New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup 2015 again. Lastly some teachers had notices for the students.

Walking Up Mount Wellington

Walking up Mount Wellington
The sun was setting, the breeze was flowing, it was  a good day to stroll up a mountain but it felt like Mount Everest.

On a wonderful holiday morning I was woken up by a rusty old rubbish truck that sounded like it was going to break into pieces. My church had an activity going on so me and my brothers wanted to go,  it was held in Panmure. The activity was to walk up Mount Wellington with a 10kg bag. As we went up the mountain I cried out “I want to go home.”

One of my brothers  is a few years older than me, and looks kind of like a troll. He is a tall slender man, he is 15 years old and goes to tamaki college. He  plays games when he has spare time as a habit.

With sore ankles and exhausted legs, through wind and hot flaming sun we reached the top in no time. As we  reached near the top we could hear wind swishing through the tall grass. Our bishop and his two counselors had cars to drop us off home from the top of  Mount Wellington.

When I got home my legs were so sore I couldn’t feel my hands because the temperature on top of the mountain was so cold, it is an astonishing place to watch the sun set.
